JOB SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for facilitating timely
and accurate hospital data submissions. Secondary responsibility is
advancing the comparability of data by proactively identifying areas
of opportunity, establishing data quality standards, and
collaborating across teams to create improvement solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities
DATA SUBMISSION MANAGEMENT
- Lead the implementation of onboarding hospitals; create/track
project timelines, providing support and resources to clarify
specific requirements for execution of the deliverable
- Facilitate the data submission process for children’s hospitals by
leveraging available technologies to manage both hospital data
content and our classification systems. Provide definitions,
guidelines examples, and collaborate with CHA and hospital staff to
ensure reliable comparisons
- Provide exemplary customer service including but not limited to
document changes, adjusting data submission project plans, and
thorough timely resolution of data content issues
- Provide timely and accurate communication of submission status
- Identify terminology/classification standardization issues and
facilitate resolution
- Work with data product users to identify data quality checks to
implement as part of the data submission process
- Facilitate the implementation of new data quality checks as part
of the data submission process.
- Work with CHA resources to load submitted data into reporting
databases ensuring the data is released correctly for use as scheduled
DATA QUALITY
- Identify root causes of data quality issues; develop
recommendations for addressing them and present recommendations to
the appropriate group
- Facilitate the resolution of data quality and data submission issues
- Establish, implement, and maintain a process to monitor and assess
data quality to include:
- Developing policies and procedures for ongoing/continuous data
quality assessment
- Establishing monitors to identify process variation
- Tracking actions as needed to make improvements
- Documenting assessment activities and outcomes, and
- Reporting outcomes to children’s hospitals
- Facilitate data quality and data submission continuous process
improvement efforts.
- Conduct periodic reviews/audits of data elements
- Develop and implement processes to use data from across products
to help determine the quality of a particular product
- Proactively identify standardization opportunities and implement
solutions to ensure quality and comparability for selected content areas
