JOB SUMMARY

Creates, develops and modifies general computer applications, interfaces or specialized utility programs, is well versed in research, design, development, and testing of code. Analyzes user needs and develops appropriate software solutions to meet those needs.

Application Developers are well versed in designing and customizing software for specific customer use with the aim of creating an improved user experience and higher value for the organization. Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, works individually or coordinates database development as part of a team.

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

  • Works with team members as well as business departments to develop and write application systems and programs.
  • Participates in project management, architecture and design processes.
  • Works within change control guidelines for production implementations.
  • Tests and revises each solution, including user acceptance testing, to ensure proper performance and efficiencies are met.
  • Build deployment pipeline (Azure DevOps and Octopus) for services and projects that are developed.
  • Documents solutions in accordance with development standards and procedures as outlined by the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of development systems used by the Web and Development groups, and systemic relationships with outside support organizations.
  • Represents development team in interdivisional groups and projects.

APPLICATIONS CHANGE CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Responds to questions relative to application functionality.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves production application errors ensuring strict adherence to IT change processes.
  • Prepares revision documentation as outlined in the Software Development Life Cycle.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT

  • Assists with end-user support of foundational systems.
  • Provides backup administrative assistance where needed.

DATABASE/REPORT DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

  • Designs and proposes database objects based on organization’s data policy.
  • Designs, implements and supports reporting systems.
  • Prepares technical documentation for database/report design and deployment outlined in the Software Development Life Cycle.

Experience and Skills:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science) or equivalent work experience

Required Experience and Special Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience programming in a team environment
  • Programming; troubleshooting; problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment
  • Ability to provide end-user training on both 3rd party and in-house developed applications
  • Strong understanding of the .NET architecture
  • .NET (C#/ ASP.NET), jQuery, REST, JSON, JavaScript, .NET Framework 4.8 or .NET Core
  • Experience with ORM’s, like Entity Framework or Dapper
  • Experience utilizing Azure DevOps (source control) desired
  • Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server desired
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle methods and client/server architecture in an enterprise environment

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare in a team environment
  • Azure methodologies like Kubernetes, Azure Functions, GRPC services, etc.
  • Experience utilizing and building Octopus or other automated deployment system
  • CRM (Salesforce) development and support experience
  • Sitecore development and support experience
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, T-SQL, MVC nice to have
  • Experience creating effective database design and implementation nice to have

  • Extensive periods of sitting and keyboard/computer work

  • May on occasion be required to lift packages up to 25 lbs.
