Job summary

Responsible for the evaluation, design and execution of learning and performance solutions, managing the life cycle of assigned product lines from strategic planning to tactical activities. Also serves as a continuing education planner for enduring content, ensuring that all JAICE and other accrediting body criteria are met for content with associated CE.

Essential duties and responsibilities

CLINICAL PRODUCT LINE MANAGEMENT

  • Manages assigned product lines (could include some non-clinical product lines) through the product line life-cycle providing leadership and overall direction and vision for specific product lines.
    • Leads and manages each assigned product line’s advisory committee to determine product needs, gap analysis and identification of product changes.
    • Provides direction and collaborates with production and technology teams to ensure achievement of defined product standards within targeted timelines.
    • Identifies and manages special projects designed to target and create specific learning and performance improvement solutions relevant to the needs of specific product lines.
    • In collaboration with marketing, communications and sales teams, develops, executes and monitors marketing plans for each product line.
    • Provides market-based strategic direction for specific product lines through annual product line plan.
      • Utilizes industry experience, market analysis and customer engagement strategies to identify and develop new products and partner opportunities, and to identify new market opportunities.
      • Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing communications and/or visits to member and non-member clients.
      • Manages and facilitates product line engagement strategies, including live conference meetings, webcasts and community sites.
      • Assists in management of product partner relationships, including contracting and implementation oversight, quality control, marketing and sales training engagement, and tracking of sales and profitability, as applicable.
      • Provides product line education to internal sales team, existing clients and business partners. Participates on sales calls as needed to provide subject matter expertise on specific product lines.
      • Manages internal budget related to subject matter experts for specific product lines.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Instructionally designs and develops content and blended learning solutions for assigned product line(s) and initiative-driven specified topics.
  • Evaluates and edits existing content, curriculums and solutions for clarity, accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Plans and facilitates curriculum development.
  • Serves as a continuing education planner, fulfilling all of the duties therein as specified by the accrediting body, including but not limited to:
    • Formulates, plans, implements and evaluates education and continuing education programs and services according to the standards and guidelines set forth as an accredited JAICE provider unit of continuing education and according to the standards and guidelines set forth by other continuing education approving bodies (e.g., AARC, Association of Child Life Professionals).
    • Adheres to CHA continuing education policies and procedures.

  • Applies business and industry knowledge to provide consultative services that support and assist participants in determining how workplace learning and performance improvement can best be leveraged to achieve long-term business success and added value.
  • Supports and contributes to organization-wide initiatives aimed at improving internal processes and systems.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) in nursing required.
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field focused on adult education design and delivery required.

Experience and Special Skills:

  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience required; critical care experience strongly preferred; pediatric experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience developing and instructionally designing clinical-focused (e.g., disease processes, etc.) education for nurses and/or various health care disciplines.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve desired outcomes and design timelines.
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Word
  • Ability to lead/manage individuals and teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prepare and present information in varied mediums
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects

  • Familiarity with children’s hospitals

Licenses / Certifications

  • Registered nursing (RN) license required
  • Certification as Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) specialist and/or Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) preferred

  • Extensive periods of sitting and keyboard/computer work

  • May on occasion be required to lift packages up to 25 lbs.
